for makers, not just developers

Build with AI, without the scary parts.

Kaeru is a calm, AI-native workspace where anyone can build, save, and back up their work. No git to memorize. No lost work. Just your ideas and a patient expert. In English or 日本語.

On Windows? Join the beta list and we’ll email you when it’s ready.

What Kaeru does

How a change happens

From opening your project to a saved, backed-up change, in about a minute.

  1. 1

Open the project you already have

Any folder with a website in it: one you made with Bolt, Lovable or v0, one a developer built for you, or one you cloned from GitHub. Kaeru leaves it where it is.

  2. 2

    Say what you want

Type it, or say it out loud. Point at the thing on your live page and say what should change, without knowing what it is called.

  3. 3

See what changed, then keep it

Kaeru shows every edit in plain words before it is final. Save & back up keeps that version, and any change can be undone.

Thirty seconds, and it works without sound. Every screen in it is Kaeru’s own.

Plain words on top, real git underneath

When you press Save & back up, Kaeru makes a real commit and pushes it to your backup. Your project stays an ordinary folder that any developer can open, so you are never locked in.

The AI is built in
No account with anyone else and no API key. Bring your own if you prefer.
Your files stay on your computer
Only the parts the AI reads for a request leave your computer. Kaeru counts requests, not what is in them.
Trying things costs nothing
Every change can be rolled back, and half-finished work can be set aside for later.

Built something with Bolt, Lovable or v0?

Those tools are great at starting something new. Then they hand you the code, and the tools that could keep it going are built for engineers. Kaeru is where you keep working on it, on your own computer.

  1. Start

Bolt, Lovable or v0 builds the first version.

  2. Hand-off

You get the code, usually as a GitHub repository.

  3. Keep going

Open it in Kaeru and change it in plain words.

Also for a site a developer built and handed over, or a project you made by following a tutorial.

What Kaeru is not

  • Not a hosting service. Kaeru changes the files on your computer and backs them up online; your site stays published wherever it is today.
  • Not a code editor for professional developers. If you write code every day, Cursor or Claude Code will suit you better.
  • Not the quickest way to start from nothing. With no project yet, Bolt or Lovable will get you a first version faster. Bring it here after.

Try it on your own project
